If you are getting married in Utah County, check out my Utah County Wedding Venues blog post here. (If it is not linked yet, it will be soon! I am in the process of writing it!) If you would like a list of 60+ Utah venues located between Santaquin and Salt Lake City, check out this blog post!
If you are looking for a way to organize your wedding planning, I highly recommend checking out this Wedding Planner from Vertex42! Use it in Excel (like I did), or print it out to write all of your research down.
As a quick disclaimer, although I’ve done some of the basic research from the venue websites, make sure that you do your own deeper research to make sure that the venue that you pick is a good fit for you! I am a big fan of in-person meetings and tours, that kind of thing.
Last thing! If you are still looking for a photographer and/or videographer, I would love to be considered! Feel free to take a look around my website to see if you like my style, and then send me a message. 🙂
Now, let’s get started. You will find my 3 top favorite venues listed first, with the rest in alphabetical order.

There are so many Utah wedding venues, and I know how hard it can be to choose the perfect space for you wedding. All weddings are unique, and all couples have a unique vision! Here are a couple tips for choosing your venue:
First, make sure you know your price point. Have you decided how much of your wedding budget will be put towards your wedding venue?
Second, narrow down your location. Are you going to get married closer to home, or travel a bit farther away? Although this blog post is only about Salt Lake County wedding venues, I also have a blog post about Utah county wedding venues that you can check out here!
Third, make a mood board or a Pinterest board of what you want your wedding to look like. Add in all of details, such as floral arrangements, your color scheme, dress, suit, ceremony setup, and a few photos that you love. Once that is completed (or far enough along you can get an idea of what you like), consider a few things: style of venue (modern vs. rustic etc.), lighting of venue (natural light vs flash etc.), that kind of thing.
Fourth, do your research. Look at websites, makes some calls, look at reviews, check out their social medias, and get a list that you think is in line with your budget, vibe, style, that kind of thing.
Fifth, make a list of questions that are important to your planning for when you tour some venues. These could be questions clarifying any information that might not be on their website, that kind of thing. You will for sure want to know if they have your wedding date available!
Sixth, take your significant other, and maybe even a few other important people in your lives, and tour some venues. Share your mood board with them ahead of time so that they can know what you are looking for. Ask your questions and use a critical eye as you walk around, this is one of the most important decisions in the wedding planning process!
Seventh, use your gut. I am a big advocate of using your gut instincts. There is a difference between feeling butterflies because you’re nervous and excited and not having a good feeling, so use those feelings if necessary throughout the venue booking process. Ask all of your questions so that you know what to expect from the venue, and so the venue knows your expectations.
All I can say is GOOD LUCK!! You got this. Although the planning process is very hard, the end result is so worth it! It will hopefully be the most magical and wonderful day of your life and all of your hard work will pay off. You got this. 🙂
Like I said above, if you are looking for a wedding photographer and/or videographer, I would love to hear about your wedding plans! Take a look around my website and Instagram to see if my style fits what you have in your mood board 😉 and send me a message!
