There are some incredible wedding venues in the Salt Lake area, one of them being This Is The Place Heritage Park. Did you know that there are ELEVEN venues throughout the park? How crazy is that! There are beautiful outdoor areas, historic buildings, and so many great options no matter what style of wedding you are planning. Let’s explore one of the many This Is The Place venues – the Heber C. Kimball Home.
The Heber C. Kimball Home is a beautiful white southern-style house with a wrap-around porch, a grassy lawn with waterfalls and a little creek in the back, and a stunning wood interior. The front of the house has a porch that goes around the entire front of the house, seating space and tables on the porch, grass, and a little bridge from the road to the front yard.
The inside of the home has two levels, with the upper story being mainly for the bride’s and groom’s dressing rooms (and a few historically kept rooms). The main floor has a few large rooms perfect for tables or dancing, a gorgeous fireplace, and another room for tables to serve food. There is also a cool kitchen in the back!
The outdoor area has a continuation of the wrap-around porch with some small tables and access to serving rooms and the kitchen, and a lawn with enough space for an outdoor ceremony. The backdrop of the ceremony space is serene and perfect for bridal and family pictures later in the wedding-day timeline. Put the chairs away and you have a great area for dancing and lawn games during the reception! It get’s shade in the evening, which makes for a very pleasant space during the hot summer months.
Sunset pictures are a must if you have your wedding anywhere at This Is The Place. It’s stunning natural landscape captures golden hour perfectly. I imagine there are wild flowers through the summer. We even saw a little group of deer!
So, if you are considering having your wedding at This Is The Place Heritage Park, I highly recommend the Kimball Home. Let these last few pictures convince you!
